ADDICTION: GETTING THE MONKEY OFF YOUR BACK

This DVD is based on the latest science regarding the brain's role in addiction. It shows how the doctors who treat addiction measure the brain using the latest testing techniques to find nutritional deficiencies in the addicted person. The focus is on how certain amino acids and other nutrients, combined with other alternative therapies and education, can directly treat the biochemical imbalances associated with addiction and the resulting chronic abstinence symptoms such as anxiety, confusion, and severe cravings and depression. Once these symptoms are treated, people are able to do the work needed to stay clean and sober. You will meet doctors and addictionologists who have successfully reversed addiction in this manner and listen to patients who have tried many techniques in the past and failed, now clean and sober and comfortable with whom they are. This is a must see for any addict and his or her family.

ON-LINE GAMBLING ADDICTION: THE DANGERS OF INTERNET GAMBLING

By James Ford Nussbaum

"June L" didn't know she had any kind of gambling problem especially while she gambled using "offshore" gambling sites over the internet. This 70+ year old grandmother was so wrapped up in gambling on-line she lost over $70,000 of her money she intended to leave to her children and grandchildren. Today, many of her relatives aren't even talking to her because of the loss she suffered gambling on-line.

On-line gambling is an unreal worldˇKand that's part of the main attraction. Recent estimated statistics from established online groups suggest that 4%-6% percent of those who regularly gamble over the internet will eventually become problem gamblers or compulsive gamblers. This may appear to be a small figure considering the total number of people who gamble. However, it becomes relatively alarming when the millions of individuals that gamble every year are taken into consideration.

Studies have found that the rates of suicidal attempts among compulsive gamblers range from 17%-24%, giving an idea about how these people handle their situation.

This half hour film attempts to break down misconceptions and stereotypes about this addicting, obsessive and compulsive habit sharing with viewers it's dangers and showing examples of people that nearly lost everything because of how internet gambling turned into a disease that went out of control.
