Dr. John Briffa, a Nutritional physician and best selling author (Bodywise, Ultimate Health, and Natural Health for Kids), begins by discussing the impact of diet on asthma; also how an asthma patient's bronchial tubes constrict, making it difficult for the sufferer to breath out.
In Part 1, we meet Jo Manuel, a Yoga teacher, and see how yoga has been shown to help asthmatics. Dr. Briffa describes three types of drugs used to control asthma: bronchial dilators, histamine reducers, and steroids; then, as an alternative to steroids, Alastair Rattray, offers Bowen therapy to Judith Harris's asthmatic daughter, Isabel; also Lilian Curtin provides Magnet and Electronic Gem Therapy to Angela Hart's asthmatic son, Jacob.
In Part 2, Dr. Briffa explains that pets, pollution and certain fatty acids can also trigger asthma. We meet Trisha McCarthy and her daughter, Danniella, who met Hilery Dorrian, a Homeopath who provided a Homeopathic alternative over steroids.
