Follow the realistic and dramatic story of three teenage couples whose decision to have a beer party down at their lake results in lost friendships, damaged reputations, loss of parental trust, and a police record for each teen. The couples, Monika and Marco, Sara and Steve, Lucy and Larry are anticipating the homecoming football game and the dance afterwards. They decide to buy a case of beer and head down to the lake for an evening of pre-homecoming celebration.
Arriving later than the others from work, Larry and Monika find that Lucy and Marco have gotten drunk and gone off together for a "piggyback ride." When they return, obviously disheveled, a fight ensues, feelings are hurt and the police show up. The teens are booked for trespassing, underage drinking and assault.
In the aftermath of their court case, the couples' relationships are all changed, Lucy's reputation is damaged, Marco is heartbroken, and the two are no longer part of the group. Larry loses his job because he has to perform community service ordered by the court. Senior year, which should have been so much fun, has been destroyed because of one drinking escapade.
