Edmund goes on a quest to understand how art has helped shape Australia. The series interweaves the story of British, European and Indigenous art traditions and how they have reflected the evolution of Australia's culture over 200 years.

Ep 1 Episode one tells the story of how art helped European settlers come to terms with an unfamiliar land.

Ep 2 Edmund explores how Australian identity evolved in the 20th century and how modern art down under struggled to emerge. He looks at some of the giants of 20th century Australian art - Sidney Nolan, Albert Tucker and Arthur Boyd.

Ep 3 In the third installment Beyond Australia, Edmund Capon explores how, since the 1960s, Australia and its art went global.
