Children love to play outdoors; so much so, many times they get so caught up in playing they forget to be careful. In this story Harey the hair-brained rabbit is so excited about playing, he forgets to follow important safety rules.
The five safety lessons identified by Safety Educator Alyssa Kelly include:
1. Always be sure your shoe, boot or sneaker laces are tied. Never walk or run with untied laces.
2. Don't be too much in a rush - and watch where you are going.
3. Always stop, look and listen before crossing a road.
4. Always walk carefully across a road.
5. Never run into a road to get anything. Remember - stop, look and listen to see if it's safe.
