Natural gas is in demand in spite of climate change initiatives, due to low price, continuous uninterrupted supply, low carbon intensity and ongoing reductions in emissions. Natural gas will be the primary energy source for many decades, whilst enabling climate targets to be met.
This program shows an example of a natural gas development at an offshore gas field, using 3D seismic; onshore and offshore well operations; gas facility construction; onshore and offshore pipe laying and downstream distribution to electric power and industrial markets. This project lifted the host country out of dependence on unreliable power, helped get electricity to millions of people, provided clean water, medical facilities and schooling, improved the economy and added value for the Government and international investors.
