MY LIFE ON THE FARM: NOGGY IN MONGOLIA
Noggy in Mongolia - My name's Noggy. I'm 13 and I'm the youngest of three children. My family are livestock breeders in the steppes of Mongolia. I spend a lot of time riding on horseback. It is said, a Mongolian without his horse is like a bird without its wings. One of my daily chores is to go and get water with my cousin Timba. Fortunately, we have a metal cart to transport the huge container. Our only source of revenue from our livestock comes from gathering the cashmere hair from our goats. We collect them with a special brush shaped like a claw. In Mongolia, we produce about 3000 tons of cashmere each year. It's light yet very warm.
