For Food¡¯s Sake! returns for a second season to investigate the reasons behind food price hikes. The first season was one of the highest rating shows when it debuted on CNA last year. This season, the show travels across Asia and Europe to understand the factors pushing up our food bills. Expect more stories and more fascinating revelations led by host and chef, Ming Tan.

To get to the root of the problem, Ming gets his hands dirty in the farms and braves the high seas to talk to farmers, fishermen and scientists for their take on the issues facing global food supply. Ming, a self-proclaimed food nerd, goes into the kitchen to experiment with cheaper alternatives and hits the streets to see if folks can taste the difference.

Episode 1: Fishballs & Squid

Episode 3: Butter & Kailan
Ming is in France because butter prices have driven up prices for cupcakes, but why? In Asia, the staple vegetable, Kailan, is seeing a price spike because shoppers don¡¯t want to buy ugly vegetables. Why does Kailan have to be perfect to sell?

Episode 4: Pork & Corn
