MODERATE OR PROCEDURAL SEDATION: PATIENT ASSESSMENT AND MONITORING
The nurse has an important role in caring for patients who receive moderate, or procedural, sedation before, during, and after diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This program focuses on intravenous administration of moderate, or procedural sedation as this route shortens recovery times and reduces risk for patients having minor surgery and endoscopic procedures.
