TEACHING ABOUT ANOREXIA NERVOSA
Anorexia Nervosa is a subject of significant interest to parents and a wide range of agencies. It is a perplexing condition and as a result, not an easy subject to teach. We have prepared a package to enable the non-expert to discuss the subject with confidence and understanding.

Part One: Edited and illustrated recording of a lecture given by Prof. A H Crisp to an invited audience at the Cardinal Clinic. The programme draws on his international reputation and a lifetime of professional experience treating patients with Anorexia Nervosa.

Part Two: Clinical illustrations of edited interviews with three patients, including a patient successfully treated fifteen years previously. The programme also features an interview with a dietician and a section on the theory.

Part Three: Drama-documentary style programme entitled 'The Days of Fast and Abstinence', based around a hospital consultation and admission to a psychiatric unit. It graphically displays how Lizzie developed Anorexia Nervosa and depicts aspects of treatment, both at an emotional and practical level. Lizzie returns to college and we see how she is able to put into practise the things she has learnt.
